It’s been 30 years, but that taste isn’t forgotten! You’ll remember these salads from your youth. They’re fantastic even after so many years.
1. Rumcajz Salad
Ingredients:
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- 2 onions
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- pepper
- 2 teaspoons oil
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 4 sterilized pickles
- 20 dkg soft salami
- salt
- 2 teaspoons full-fat mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
Prepare the dressing. In a small pot mix oil, sugar, mustard, soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Stir over low heat until a uniform mixture forms – the salad dressing. Do not let the mixture boil; then remove it from the heat and let it cool.
Then slice the salami and pickles into strips and dice the onion. Put everything in a bowl and add the cooled dressing and 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise. Finally, season the Rumcajz salad with salt and pepper. Serve with fresh bread. It’s even better if the salad rests until the next day.
2. Snack Salad
Ingredients:
- 300 g soft salami
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 can of corn
- 2 hard-boiled eggs
- 2 dcl oil
- 3-4 sweet-and-sour pickles
- 2 smaller onions
- 250 g tartar sauce
Instructions:
Chop the salami, eggs, pickles and onions to taste. Add the corn. In another bowl mix all the condiments and combine everything. Put the salad in the refrigerator to rest. Serve with fresh bread.
3. Parisian Salad according to ČSN
Ingredients:
- 400 g Parisian salami cut into strips
- 180 g sterilized pickles chopped finely
- 60 g sterilized peas
- 25 g onion chopped finely
- 300 g mayonnaise (homemade)
- 10 g granulated sugar
- 10 g salt
- 20 g full-fat mustard
- 5 g vinegar
- 8 g Worcestershire sauce
- 0.5 g pepper
Instructions:
First mix all the ingredients for the salad and then all the ingredients for the dressing. Mix well and you can serve.
4. Vlašský Salad according to ČSN
Ingredients:
- 350 g potatoes (cooked the day before)
- 228 g salami cut into strips
- 90 g sterilized pickles
- 20 g sterilized peas without brine
- 32 g cooked celeriac
- 48 g cooked carrot
- 20 g full-fat mustard
- 0.5 g ground spice
- 15 g vinegar
- 5 g Worcestershire sauce
- 200 g mayonnaise
- 10 g granulated sugar
- 10 g salt
Instructions:
Chop all the ingredients (except the peas) and mix in a bowl. Finally fold in the dressing made from mayonnaise, sugar, salt, Worcestershire, vinegar and mustard.
5. Delicacy Salad
Ingredients:
- 30-40 dkg Liptov salami
- 1 onion
- 2-3 pickled cucumbers
- 2 hard-boiled eggs
- 1 small can of sterilized peas
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- a small amount of mayonnaise
Instructions:
Cut the salami into smaller strips. Add the drained peas, finely chopped onion and pickles. Prepare the dressing: vinegar, oil, Worcestershire, mustard and sugar – bring to a boil. Pour over the prepared ingredients and finally add the mayonnaise. Mix well and let it rest, preferably overnight.
6. Tourist Salad
Ingredients:
- 20 dkg salami (turista, vysočina) – cut into strips
- 1 tub of spreadable butter
- 1 small onion chopped finely
- 100 g hard cheese cut into strips
- 1-2 cloves garlic
- Optional: red bell pepper
- 2 hard-boiled eggs – chopped
- 1 tablespoon tartar sauce
- 2 tablespoons mustard
Instructions:
Add the salami to the spreadable butter, the cheese, chopped onion, pressed garlic and the other ingredients. Mix everything and you can serve.
