Snakebite
Let’s start light. This drink can really be prepared by anyone. The name could be translated as “snakebite”, but you don’t have to worry. The cocktail consists of just two ingredients, with the cider complemented by one of the most typical Czech beverages. You guessed right — it’s beer.
How to do it? Fill a glass halfway with beer and top up with cider. For a darker color you can also add a drop of blackcurrant syrup.
Apple Cider Mimosa
The mimosa is a cocktail that is often an indispensable part of brunches. The simple combination of orange juice and prosecco never gets old and brightens many a Sunday morning. Try a twist with cider that will amaze with its taste. Into a flute-type glass pour prosecco and cider in equal parts – and voilà, a sparkling miracle is born.
Apple Jack
If you want to enjoy the maximum apple flavor and don’t mind stronger drinks, this combination will be a bullseye. Sweet and sour notes are perfectly complemented by a hint of apple brandy.
-
4.5 cl applejack
-
1.5 cl cider
-
1.5 cl fresh lemon juice
-
1 cl simple syrup
First chill your glass well. For serving the Apple Jack, reach for the so-called coupe on a stem. Measure all the ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain through a bar strainer into the glass and serve.
Apple Cider Spritz
Aperol Spritz is one of the cocktail classics. But have you tried the cider version yet? The Apple Cider Spritz smells like autumn and you’ll fall in love with the combination of apples, bubbles and cinnamon.
-
9 cl cider
-
3 cl Aperol
-
9 cl sparkling wine
-
a large pinch of cinnamon or pumpkin spice
Prepare a glass for the Aperol Spritz. Add all the ingredients and stir well so the spice dissolves. Top up with ice, garnish with a dried apple slice and a cinnamon stick, and serve.
Tip: If the cocktail is stirred rather than shaken, you’ll appreciate mixing spoons. They are longer and have a gentle twist along the shaft, so they won’t slip in your hand.
Last Straw
The drink, which was created in 2006, closes the quintet of cider cocktails. A strong apple cocktail with a hint of elderflower will offer a sweet and fragrant experience.
-
4.5 cl calvados
-
4.5 cl elderflower liqueur
-
4.5 cl cider
-
4.5 cl apple juice
Measure the ingredients into a shaker, add ice and shake well. Strain into a pre-chilled highball glass, garnish with an apple slice and serve.
Tip: It can sometimes be tricky to navigate the flood of shakers. There are many variants on the market and it’s not easy to choose a quality piece that will serve you well. On the Barstore website you will find a range of designs from which you can easily pick your favorite that won’t let you down.
