Fermented beetroot is not just a nutritious dietary supplement, but a true treasure of natural medicine. Thanks to its content of probiotics and antioxidants it helps strengthen immunity, regenerate the body and acts as an effective means of body detoxification. It is also a suitable prevention against lifestyle diseases including some types of cancer.
Why is fermented red beetroot healthier than raw?
While raw beetroot contains a higher amount of natural sugar, during fermentation (kvašení) these sugars are converted into acids and beneficial substances. The result is a drink full of probiotics, enzymes and antioxidants that positively affects not only digestion but also the overall balance of the gut microflora.
Fermented beet additionally supports lowering blood pressure, increases endurance, improves blood flow and has anti-inflammatory effects. Thanks to its betaine content it protects cells from oxidative stress and helps the body better cope with a toxic environment.

- 200 g sugar (preferably cane)
- 100 g raisins
- boiled, cooled water (approx. 2 liters)
Procedure:
- Peel the beets, cut into cubes or slices and place into a large glass jar.
- Add the raisins, sugar and flour (or bread).

How to use the fermented beet drink
Start slowly. In the first days 1 tablespoon a day is sufficient. Gradually increase the dose up to 3–4 tablespoons three times a day before meals. After completing the dose we recommend a one-month break and repeat the treatment. For body cleansing it is sufficient to repeat it three times a year.
Effects on the body
- Support for the liver and kidneys: fermented beet helps the body excrete toxins and heavy metals.
- Immune support: thanks to the high content of vitamin C and antioxidants.
- Healthier skin and hair: positively affects pigmentation and the overall appearance of the skin.
- Cancer prevention: the pigments in beetroot (betalains) have a proven anti-tumor effect.
- Improved digestion: fermentation supports a healthy gut microflora and reduces inflammation.
Conclusion
By including fermented red beet in your diet you will gain not only a stronger immune system and a cleaner body, but also support in preventing serious diseases. However, be sure to consult everything with your doctor, especially if you are taking medications or have health restrictions.
