Preparation procedure

  • Bring salted water to a boil over low heat.
  • Finely grate the cooked potatoes, then sprinkle them with starch.
  • Mix and gradually form a compact dough.
  • Add starch as needed.
  • From the resulting dough, form small balls smaller than tennis balls and immediately drop them into boiling water.
  • Let the dumplings cook 2-3 minutes. Then turn off the heat, leave them under the lid for a few minutes, and remove them from the water.

Usually about 250g of starch is used per kilo of potatoes.
