Preparation procedure

    1. We wash the cucumbers and cut them into thin slices.
    2. We peel the carrot and also cut it into slices.
    3. We peel the onion and cut it into thin strips.
    4. We remove the core from the cabbage and shred it finely. Cut the pepper into strips.
    5. In a bowl we mix salt, sugar, pepper, bay leaf, citric acid and Borken.
    6. We mix the chopped vegetables and add the dry mixture of spices and salt.
    7. Finally we add the vinegar and mix everything.
    8. We let it rest for 7 hours.
    9. Then we press the vegetable mixture into sterilized canning jars up to the rim and pour the juice from the vegetables into each jar and close the jars well.
    10. We set the pickled cabbage aside and let it rest for several weeks.
    11. After 5 weeks you can eat the pickled cabbage.
