Preparation procedure

  • Meat base Finely chop the onion and sauté it in oil for 2–3 minutes. Add the minced meat, season with salt and pepper, and fry until browned for 6–8 minutes. Stir in the tomato paste and cook briefly.
  • Zucchini and cream-and-egg mixture Coarsely grate the zucchinis and squeeze out the excess liquid well. Whisk the eggs with the cream, season with salt and pepper. Mix the zucchini with this mixture.
  • Assembling in the baking dish Grease a baking dish approx. 30 × 20 cm with butter. Spread the meat, then the zucchini mixture, and top with tomatoes sliced into rounds. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
  • Baking Bake in an oven preheated to 190 °C for 35–40 minutes, until the surface is golden and the center firms up. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
