    1. Pour all the cream into a deep bowl.
    2. And start whipping. You can use a whisk or an electric mixer.
    3. After a while you'll have whipped cream.
    4. When whipped cream has formed, it's time for the immersion blender.
    5. By repeatedly dipping the blender, the buttermilk will increasingly start to separate.
    6. You can save this and later use it, for example, for bread dough. Continue mixing.
    7. The buttery clumps that form are what we want. Once the butter seems sufficiently firm, turn it out and pour off the buttermilk.
    8. Then knead the resulting butter on a board under a stream of cold water. This removes the remaining whey from the butter. It's best to do this until clear water runs from the butter.
    9. You can also season the butter as you like with salt or herbs.
