- Prepare the cup – Place the tea bag into a cup or mug.
- Pour the water – Once the water reaches boiling point, immediately pour it over the tea bag. This releases the full flavor and aroma.
- Steep – Let the tea steep for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on the desired strength. A shorter time means a milder taste, a longer one a stronger, more pronounced brew.
- Remove the bag – After the time has elapsed, gently squeeze the tea bag with a spoon (if you want a more intense flavor) and then discard it.
