This simple and moist coconut cake, inspired by a recipe from Olga, is truly delicious! It tastes even better the next day, and once you try it you’ll bake it again and again. An ideal choice for coconut and chocolate lovers!

Preparation procedure

  • Preparing the dough: Melt the Hera and the broken chocolate (either in the microwave or on the stove) and let the mixture cool slightly. Beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy. Add the milk, the flour mixed with the baking powder, and finally stir in the melted chocolate. Pour the batter onto a greased and floured baking pan.
  • Preparing the coconut filling: Mix the coconut with Salko and the egg. Form walnut-sized balls with your hands and place them on the batter.
  • Baking: Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 200 °C for approximately 25–30 minutes, until the batter is baked to a golden brown.
  • Finishing: After baking you can brush the cake with melted butter with rum for a delicate flavor (optional), or use chocolate glaze and sprinkle with coconut. The cake is best if you let it rest until the next day – it will be even more moist.
