Christmas is coming, and that means one thing – time to bake sweet cookies! If you’re looking for inspiration for tasty Christmas gingerbread, this recipe for soft honey dough mustn’t be missing from your table. Your guests will love them and they’ll disappear quickly!

  • Mixing the ingredients: In a bowl, mix the flour with the baking soda so that the soda is evenly distributed in the dough.
  • Preparing the dough: Add the sugar, eggs, honey, and cinnamon. Work the mixture into a smooth, elastic dough.
  • Resting the dough: Wrap the dough in cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
  • Shaping: Roll the dough out to the desired thickness and cut out various shapes using cookie cutters.
  • Baking: Bake in an oven preheated to 180 °C for about 10-12 minutes, until the honey cookies brown.

Icing tip:

For a perfect look for the honey cookies, prepare a simple icing from 150 g powdered sugar, 1 egg white and a little lemon juice. Apply the icing using a piping bag and decorate your creations according to your own imagination.
