Preparation procedure

  • Preparation of the batter: Beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar until frothy. Add the oil, then gradually fold in the sifted flour mixed with the baking powder. Finally add the plain yogurt and gently mix the batter until smooth.
  • Baking: Pour the batter into a greased and floured pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for approximately 25–30 minutes, until the surface turns golden. Let the baked base cool, then cut into smaller cubes.
  • Chocolate glaze: Melt the cooking chocolate in a water bath. Add the butter, vanilla sugar, powdered sugar and milk. Stir until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  • Finishing: Dip each piece of sponge cake into the chocolate mixture and then coat in shredded coconut. Place on a rack or baking sheet and let set.
