Roasted potatoes are a popular side dish as well as a standalone dish, ideal for all lovers of simple but tasty cooking. This recipe for crispy oven potatoes will give you great flavor and a healthier alternative to deep-fried fries.

Preparation procedure

  • Preparing the potatoes: Peel the potatoes, wash them and cut into larger pieces. If you prefer a crispier texture, soak the potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes beforehand and then dry them.
  • Seasoning and coating: In a bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, grill seasoning, tarragon, salt and pepper. First coat the potatoes in olive oil so the seasoning and breadcrumbs adhere well. Then thoroughly coat each piece of potato in the prepared mixture.
  • Baking: Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread the potatoes on it so there is space between them for even baking. Drizzle the potatoes with a little olive oil. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 40 minutes, until golden and crispy.
  • Serving: Serve warm, ideally with homemade tartar sauce or another favorite dip.

Tips:

  • For a stronger flavor you can add grated Parmesan to the breadcrumb mixture.
  • If you want an extra crispy crust, turn the potatoes once during baking.
