Preparation procedure

  • Preparing the batter: Beat the eggs with the sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually add the oil and milk, fold in the sifted flour mixed with the baking powder and vanilla sugar. Divide the batter into two parts – leave one plain, enrich the other with cocoa.
  • Baking the base: Pour the light batter into the pan first, then the cocoa batter. Arrange the strawberries on top (squeezed to remove excess juice). Bake in a preheated oven at approx. 180 °C until a skewer inserted into the base comes out clean.
  • Cream: Cook the pudding in the milk according to the instructions, adding sugar. Let it cool with cling film placed directly on the surface to prevent a skin from forming. Whip the butter until fluffy and gradually beat in the cooled pudding.
  • Assembling the dessert: Spread the cream over the turned-out and cooled base. Place the remaining strawberries over the cream, if you have them.
  • Glaze: Melt the white chocolate with the cream in a water bath. Pour the glaze over the top of the dessert and let it set.
  • Chilling and serving: Let the cake cool well in the refrigerator so the layers firm up, then cut into slices.
