Preparation procedure

  • Preheating the oven and preparing the base: Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Place the cake wafers on a baking sheet.
  • Preparing the meringue and baking: Whip the egg whites and powdered sugar into a stiff meringue. Gently fold in the ground nuts and breadcrumbs. Spread the finished mixture evenly over the wafers and bake for about 20 minutes until golden.
  • Cream: In the meantime, cook a thick pudding from milk, egg yolks, pudding powder and vanilla sugar. Let it cool and stir occasionally to prevent a skin from forming. Beat the butter with sugar until fluffy, then gradually beat in the cooled pudding.
  • Assembling the dessert: Spread the vanilla cream over the baked nut base. Decorate the surface with finely grated dark chocolate. Chill for several hours so the kremes sets and can be sliced easily.
