Do you have a large family and little time? This recipe for meat-and-mushroom meatballs is quick, tasty and ideal for family dinners together. Mushrooms give the meatballs juiciness and a pronounced flavor that even the pickiest palates will appreciate. So let’s prepare this delicious treat step by step!

  • 1. Rice preparation: First cook the rice and let it cool.
  • 2. Mushroom mixture: Dice the onion and mushrooms and then blend them into a purée.
  • 3. Meat mixture: In a bowl, mix the ground meat, the mushroom mixture, rice, salt and spices to taste, grated cheese and dill. Mix everything thoroughly.
  • 4. Shaping the balls: Shape balls from the prepared mixture. If you wet your hands, it will be easier.
  • 5. Tomato sauce: Slice the tomatoes, add the tomato paste, sugar, sour cream and mix everything well. If needed, thicken the sauce with all-purpose flour.
