If you like chocolate-covered bananas, you’ll definitely fall in love with this fantastic dessert! It’s simple to make and tastes even better than store-bought versions. Ideal as a sweet temptation for celebrations or for those with a sweet tooth.

For 7 portions

Ingredients

250 – 300 g granulated sugar
200 + 100 ml water
15 ml banana essence
30 g powdered gelatin

Preparation procedure

Soak the gelatin in 100 ml of cold water and let it bloom.
Grease a baking pan measuring 20 x 30 cm with oil or butter.
Mix the remaining water with the granulated sugar and place over low heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves.
Once the gelatin is ready, transfer it to a small saucepan and dissolve it by heating.
Add the dissolved gelatin to the sugar syrup and stir. Remove the mixture from the heat and beat with a mixer for about 15 minutes.
Finally, add the banana essence and mix for another 5 minutes. For a more pronounced yellow color, you can add a few drops of food coloring.
Pour the mixture into the greased pan and let it set.
Once the dessert has set, cut into pieces and serve sprinkled with grated chocolate. You can also coat them with chocolate glaze for extra flavor.
