I coarsely grate 7-8 potatoes, squeeze them out. I add about 4 eggs, seasoning like for potato pancakes, garlic, marjoram, caraway, salt, pepper, one small onion finely chopped.
I spread the mixture on VERY well greased baking paper. I bake it until golden. I spread the cooled pancake with horseradish-flavored spreadable butter, ham, cheese.
Or I just used English bacon and the remainder of the stewed cabbage. I also filled them with bacon and a mushroom scramble. And they all disappeared immediately.
