If you are looking for a refreshing summer dessert that is simple to prepare and yet tastes like it came from a pâtisserie, this condensed milk ice cream cake is the right choice. It contains no preservatives, can be made without an ice cream maker and anyone can make it. It only takes a little cooking and freezing – and a perfect treat is ready.

Preparation procedure

  • Pour the condensed milk and powdered milk into a saucepan, mix well.
  • Add the egg yolks, cream, vanilla extract and milk. Stir and heat over low heat.
  • Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture begins to thicken slightly. Finally stir in the butter and remove from the heat.
  • Lightly grease the mold (ideally silicone or a fluted loaf pan) with oil and pour the prepared mixture into it.
  • Place in the freezer and let freeze for at least 6 hours (ideally overnight).
  • Meanwhile prepare the chocolate glaze – melt the chocolate in a double boiler and stir in the cream.
  • Unmold the finished frozen dessert and pour the chocolate glaze over it.
  • For a festive look you can decorate with chopped nuts, coconut or chocolate crumble.
  • Slice and serve.
