- Cook the elbow macaroni al dente, drain and transfer to a bowl. While still hot, mix the macaroni with the grated cheese. Add the chopped vegetables.
- In a separate bowl mix the mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard and all the other ingredients for the dressing - mix well and to taste you can add more sugar or vinegar. Mix everything and, if desired, add chopped ham. Serve immediately.
