This strawberry cake with pudding is absolutely divine. It’s moist, juicy, smells of summer and is also easy and quick to prepare. The combination of a delicate batter, vanilla pudding and fresh strawberries under jelly is simply a sure bet – perfect for a weekend, a celebration or just with coffee.

Preparation procedure

  • Batter Beat the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Gradually add the eggs, one at a time. Then fold in the flour mixed with the baking powder and starch. Finally add the milk and mix until smooth batter. Spread the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 15–20 minutes. Let cool.
  • Pudding Bring 500 ml of milk to a boil with the sugar. Mix the remaining 100 ml with the pudding powder. When the milk is boiling, pour in the pudding mixture and stir until thickened. Spread the hot pudding over the baked base and let cool.
  • Strawberries Wash, dry and cut the strawberries – place the halves around the edges of the cake, and the rest in the middle. Arrange nicely over the entire surface.
  • Jelly Bring the water with the sugar to a boil, remove from the heat and stir in the cake jelly powder. Stir for a moment, then let cool for about 2–3 minutes and pour the jelly evenly over the strawberries. Put the cake in the refrigerator to set – ideally for at least 2 hours.

Conclusion

This strawberry cake with pudding is refreshing and absolutely simple. A great idea for a summer weekend or a quick dessert when you have strawberries at home and fancy something sweet. Thanks to the pudding it is wonderfully moist and the strawberries with the jelly give it a nice touch.

I didn't know a cheesecake could be prepared IN THAT WAY! From the moment I tried the recipe, I've been baking it regularly!
