Preparation procedure
- First mix the yeast with the sifted flour, add warm milk, salt, sugar and vegetable oil.
- Knead the dough and cover it with a towel.
- Place it in a warm spot in the kitchen and wait approximately 30 minutes until it rises.
- When the dough has nicely risen, you know it's ready to use.
- In a bowl, mix the herbs, crushed cloves of garlic and softened butter.
- Roll smaller rings from the dough, adding a teaspoon of the herb-garlic filling on top.
- Fold the rings as shown in the picture, or you can also prepare a roll filled with the stuffing, which you then cut into smaller pieces.
- Place the rings into muffin cups and you can let them rise for a few more minutes under a towel.
- Finally brush them with one egg yolk and you can bake them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius.
- Bake the snails for 20 to 25 minutes.
