Preparation procedure
- Roasting the hazelnuts: Place the hazelnuts in a dry pan and roast them over low heat until they begin to turn golden. Once the nuts are roasted, you can easily remove their skins. Let them cool.
- Preparing the nut paste: Put the cooled nuts into a blender and blend into a fine mixture until a smooth nut paste forms.
- Melting the chocolate and Salko: In a double boiler, heat and melt the Salko together with the chopped dark chocolate. Stir until a uniform mixture forms. Then let the mixture cool slightly.
- Mixing the paste and chocolate: Add the chocolate mixture to the nut paste and blend everything together again for 1–2 minutes. Taste and, if desired, sweeten with honey to taste.
- Storage: Pour the finished Nutella into a glass jar or container and let it cool. Store it in the refrigerator, where it will keep for several weeks.
