Pour the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 15–20 minutes. Prepare the second base in the same way. After baking, let it cool.
  • Preparation of the cream: Beat the egg yolks with the sugar until thick and foamy. Add the water and broken chocolate. Place the mixture in a double boiler and cook, stirring constantly, until the cream thickens. Be careful not to overheat it. Let cool. Beat the butter until fluffy and then gradually incorporate it into the cooled cream. Set aside a little cream for decorating. Stir the chopped nuts into the remaining cream.
  • Assembling the cake: Cut each baked base in half to obtain a total of four layers. Divide the cream into three portions and spread it evenly between the layers.
  • Preparing the chocolate glaze: Melt the chocolate in a double boiler with the oil and stir until smooth. Pour the glaze over the top of the cake and let it set in a cool place. Do not put the cake in the refrigerator so that the layers properly soften. Decorate the cake with the reserved cream to your liking.
