Do you want to prepare a warm breakfast that will please the whole family, but don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen? Try the traditional grandma’s recipe for quick sour cream donuts. They are soft, beautifully fluffy, yet don’t remain greasy like classic doughnuts. Thanks to the sour cream in the dough they retain a delicate texture and moistness even after cooling. What’s more, you’ll have them ready in no time.

Ingredients

Preparation procedure

  • Dough preparation Crack the eggs into a bowl, add the cup of sour cream and mix everything well. Gradually add the flour mixed with the baking powder and salt. Mix into a soft, smooth and pliable dough similar to that for pizza or sweet buns.
  • Shaping On a floured surface roll the dough out into a sheet about 1 cm thick. Using a pizza cutter or a knife, cut the dough into squares.
  • Frying Fry the donuts in a deeper layer of oil until golden on both sides. After frying, let them drain on a paper towel to remove excess fat.
