Do you remember the famous princesses? These filled cookies were popular not only for their taste, but also for the fun way we ate them – peel off the top, eat the filling, and then the bottom. Today you can make them at home according to this recipe and enjoy delicious coffee creams between delicate cookies!

Preparation procedure

  • 1. Preparing the dough: Whip half of the powdered sugar with the eggs until frothy. Mix the other half of the sugar with the vanilla sugar and cocoa. Add the margarine cut into cubes and beat until smooth. Combine both mixtures and gradually add the all-purpose flour. Work into a smooth dough.
  • 2. Shaping and baking: Roll the dough out on a floured work surface to a thickness of approximately 5 mm. Use a cutter to cut out oval shapes and place them on a dry baking sheet. Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 10 minutes. Let cool.
  • 3. Preparing the coffee cream: Cream the butter with the powdered sugar and powdered milk until fluffy. Dissolve the instant coffee in hot water and add it to the butter mixture. Finally add the grated white chocolate and mix everything well.
  • 4. Assembling and decorating: Fill the cooled cookies with the coffee cream and sandwich them together. Finally decorate with melted dark chocolate and put the cookies in the refrigerator to set.
