Ingredients

Preparation procedure

  • Wash the cucumbers and slice them into thin rounds. Finely chop the onion and the pepper.
  • Put everything into a large bowl, add the Vegeta, sugar, and vinegar. Mix thoroughly.
  • Cover with a cloth and let stand for 30 minutes so the vegetables release their juices. Then stir gently and let rest for 24 hours at room temperature.
  • The next day fill the mixture into clean jars, seal tightly, and store in the refrigerator. Serve chilled.

Total preparation time and servings

  • Active work: 15–20 minutes

  • Resting: 24 hours

  • Total: approx. 24 hours 30 minutes

  • Servings: approximately 8–10 servings as a side (depending on serving size and jars)

Tips for best results

  • Adjust the flavor to your liking: more sugar for sweeter, more vinegar for tangier.

  • Instead of Vegeta you can use a homemade mix of salt and dried vegetables/herbs.

  • Store the salad in the refrigerator and consume within a few days.
