Not only does it refresh wonderfully, but it also contains lots of beneficial substances and its preparation is very simple.

Preparation procedure

  • Sugar base: Bring the water to a boil, dissolve the cane sugar in it, and let it cool completely.
  • Flowers and lemon: Place the dandelion flowers into a larger jar or vessel and add the squeezed lemon juice. Pour over with the cooled sweet syrup.
  • Fermentation: Add a bit of yeast (really just on the tip of a knife). Cover the container with cling film, pricking it lightly. Place in a bright spot out of direct sunlight.
  • Care during fermentation: Let the lemonade ferment for 2–4 days, depending on ambient temperature. For the first two days stir once a day so the flowers infuse evenly.
  • Straining and storage: After fermentation, strain through a fine sieve or cloth. Store in the refrigerator in sealed bottles – be careful, the drink may continue to ferment slightly!
