Koka cookies are among the classic homemade treats that go well with coffee, tea or just for snacking. Thanks to coconut, cocoa and the delicate buttery dough they have an unmistakable flavor and their preparation is very simple. From the quantities given you will bake a large batch of cookies, so the whole family will enjoy them.

Preparation procedure

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, powdered and vanilla sugar, coconut, cocoa and a pinch of salt.
  • Add softened butter and the egg white, work into a smooth dough.
  • Form small balls from the dough and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Gently press each ball with a fork.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 190 °C for about 10–12 minutes, until fragrant and beginning to firm up.
  • Let cool on the sheet, then transfer to a container.

  • Total time: approx. 35 minutes

  • Number of pieces: approx. 150 cookies (from a half batch 70–80 pcs)
