  • Cooking the dumplings: Place the dumplings into salted water to cook. They should cook for about 30 minutes over low heat.
  • Serving: Serve the finished dumplings greased (e.g., with butter) and sprinkled with breadcrumbs and sugar. You can also serve them with poppy seeds or ground nuts. For a variation you can fill them with fruit or chocolate.
