A healthier alternative to fried cauliflower that will surprise you with its taste and crispiness.
For 4 serving
Ingredients
breadcrumbs and grated cheese in a 2:1 ratio
Preparation procedure
- Cauliflower preparation: Divide the cauliflower into smaller florets. Do not boil the cauliflower; it will remain firm and tasty.
- Coating: First coat each floret in plain flour. In a bowl, mix the egg, pressed garlic, salt and mustard. Coat each floret in this mixture. Finally, coat the florets in the mixture of breadcrumbs and grated cheese.
- Baking: Grease a baking tray with oil and place the coated florets on it. Lightly brush each floret with oil mixed with sweet paprika.
- Oven: Bake in an oven preheated to 200 °C for approximately 30–40 minutes. During baking, turn the florets once so they brown evenly.
- Serving: Serve the finished cauliflower as a healthier alternative to fried cauliflower – it goes great with a yogurt dip or a fresh salad.
