Preparation procedure

Příprava těsta: Beat the egg yolks with the sugar until frothy, add the water and oil, and beat briefly again. Add the sifted flour mixed with cocoa and baking powder to the mixture. Finally, gently fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.
Pečení: Pour the batter onto a baking tray sized 40 × 30 cm, lined with baking paper or greased and floured. Smooth the surface and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for approximately 30 minutes. Let cool.
Plnění: Cut the cooled cake base lengthwise into two halves. Spread most of the apricot jam on the bottom half and a thin layer of sour cream. Place the second half of the base on top, which you have spread with the remaining jam.
