  • Preparation of ingredients: Drain the celery and rinse if necessary. If it has a stronger flavor, you can briefly boil it in salted water with a bit of vinegar and sugar and let it rest overnight. Drain the pineapple and cut it into small pieces. Slice the leek into thin rings. Cut the ham into cubes or strips. Grate the cheese. Peel the eggs and slice them.
  • Layering the salad: In a large glass bowl, layer the individual ingredients in this order: celery, corn, leek, pineapple, ham, the dressing made from yogurt and tartar sauce seasoned with salt and pepper, boiled eggs, grated cheese
  • Resting: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 12 hours, ideally overnight. During resting the flavors will meld nicely.
