Preparation procedure

  • Layers: From the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, baking powder, margarine, eggs and sour cream, work a smooth dough. Divide it into 5–7 portions. Roll each portion out to the size of the baking sheet and bake on parchment paper in an oven preheated to 160–180 °C until the layers are lightly golden. Let cool.
  • Cream: Whisk the sugar and flour into the milk, bring to a boil and cook into a thick custard. Stir the margarine into the hot mixture and then the chocolate. Stir until everything has melted and a smooth chocolate cream forms.
  • Assembly: Place one layer on the bottom, spread it with the hot cream and top with another layer. Continue like this until you have used all the layers. Leave the top layer without cream. Weigh it down and refrigerate overnight.
  • Glaze: Melt the chocolate and margarine in a bain-marie (double boiler), add a little oil and stir until smooth. Pour the glaze over the chilled dessert and let it set.
