These homemade flaxseed crackers are an ideal quick snack that reliably satisfies hunger. They are great not only because of their taste but also because of the simple preparation. You can keep the dough in the refrigerator for up to two months, which allows you to always have something tasty and nutritious on hand!

  • Dough preparation: Mix the all-purpose flour, sugar, salt and flaxseed in a large bowl. In a small container mix the water with the oil (or lard) and heat on the stove until the mixture begins to boil. Immediately pour the hot liquid into the bowl with the flour mixture and mix thoroughly until a dough forms. Let the dough rest for approximately 15 minutes.
  • Rolling and shaping: After resting, roll the dough out to a thickness of approximately 0.5 mm. Cut the dough into small squares (or other shapes according to your preference).
  • Baking: Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Place the crackers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for approximately 10 minutes, until they turn golden.
  • Finishing: Let the crackers cool, and then you can enjoy their crunchy taste.

You can store these crackers in a closed container, or keep the dough in the freezer for up to two months, ready to bake at any time. They are a great accompaniment to salads, cheeses, or just for snacking.
