Preparation procedure

  • Lightly squeeze the water out of the cabbage and chop it finely. Put the meat, finely chopped onion, pepper, garlic and cabbage into a bowl. Mix thoroughly and combine.
  • Add the flour, baking powder and the rest of the ingredients to the meat mixture. Mix everything, season so that a thicker, spreadable batter forms. It should look roughly like batter for potato pancakes.
  • Prepare a larger baking sheet and line it with parchment paper. Spread the batter and you can sprinkle with bacon cubes.
  • Put into a preheated oven and bake at 180°C until golden.

My grandmother used to make this cabbage pancake in Moravia, which is why my whole family loved it. It’s the best way to use ground meat. The recipe is very simple and quick and of course it’s delicious!
