Preparation procedure

  • Preparing the coffee for dipping Dissolve the instant coffee in hot water, stir, and let it cool slightly.
  • Preparing the pudding mixture In a bowl, mix the milk, pudding powder, and potato starch until smooth.
  • Preparing the cream In a saucepan, slowly heat the butter with the sugar until everything melts. Add the quark, mix well, and beat in the eggs. Finally pour in the pudding mixture and, stirring constantly, cook until the cream thickens. Then let it cool slightly for 10 minutes.
  • Assembling the dessert Place the first layer of biscuits briefly dipped in coffee into the pan. Spread one third of the cream over them. Continue with more layers: biscuits – cream – biscuits – cream – biscuits. This creates 4 layers of biscuits and 3 layers of cream. Finish the top with a layer of biscuits.
  • Finishing and chilling Sprinkle the surface of the cake with cocoa and place it in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, ideally overnight, so the dessert sets and the flavors meld.
