Preparation procedure
- Preparing the dough: Beat the butter with the powdered sugar until fluffy. Add the cocoa, ground nuts and plain flour. Mix the mixture thoroughly until a smooth dough forms. Grease the molds for Christmas walnut cookies with butter and fill them with the dough. Place them on a baking sheet.
- Baking: Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Bake the molds with the dough for about 20 minutes. After baking, let the shells cool and carefully unmold them.
- Preparing the cream: Over a double boiler, whisk the egg yolks, vanilla sugar, sugar and plain flour. Gradually add the milk and stir until the mixture thickens. Remove the cream from the heat, let it cool and then add the softened butter and egg liqueur. Mix it with a hand mixer until a smooth cream forms.
- Assembling the shells: Coat the baked shells in coconut. Fill each shell with the prepared egg-yolk cream and place an edible pearl in the center as decoration.
