  • Preparing the dry mixture: In a bowl, mix the flour, semolina, sugar and baking powder. If you like, add a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors.
  • Preparing the apples: Grate the apples on a coarse grater or use a food processor. Drizzle them with lemon juice so they don't brown.
  • Assembling the cake: Grease a baking pan (diameter about 24 cm) with butter. Sprinkle one third of the dry mixture on the bottom, then add a layer of grated apples. Repeat this process until you have three layers.
  • Pouring with milk: Before baking, pour the cake with a cup of almost boiling milk. Use a skewer to pierce the cake so the milk reaches all the layers.
  • Baking: Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for approximately 50–60 minutes, until the surface turns golden and the cake is firm to the touch.
  • Serving: After cooling, cut into portions and serve. You can garnish with powdered sugar or sour cream.
