Preparation procedure

    1. Wash the plums, halve them and remove the pits. Then layer the plums in a deeper baking dish so that all the plums fit in it and drizzle with vinegar. Put into an oven preheated to 250 degrees and bake for 20-25 minutes. Do not stir during baking.
    2. Then remove from the oven and sprinkle with the first portion of sugar and put back into the oven for 15 minutes. Bake for another 15 minutes, remove and sprinkle with the remaining sugar and put back into the oven for another 10-15 minutes.
    3. Then simply take out of the oven, drizzle with rum and sprinkle with the spices. Blend with an immersion blender and simply fill into clean canning jars (the rim of the jars must remain clean), close and turn them upside down. Wrap in a blanket, let cool completely and it's done!
    4. *Sometimes the plums may seem too watery after the third baking. In that case, put them back in the oven for another 15-20 minutes.
