If you love creamy desserts, you will adore this recipe for creamy slices with cocoa sponge! The combination of cocoa sponge, delicate pudding cream and chocolate glaze is perfect for any occasion, even with afternoon coffee.

Preparation procedure

  • Preparation of the sponge: Whip the eggs with the sugar until fluffy. Add the cocoa, flour and baking powder to the mixture. Pour the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 180 °C for about 20 minutes. After baking, let the sponge cool.
  • Preparation of the cream: Cook the pudding according to the instructions. Dissolve the pudding powder in the boiling milk with sugar and cook until thickened. Let the pudding cool completely. Meanwhile, beat the butter until smooth and gradually add it to the cooled pudding. Mix until a smooth cream forms.
  • Applying the cream: Spread the prepared pudding cream evenly over the cooled sponge.
  • Preparation of the chocolate glaze: Melt the cooking chocolate in a water bath. Remove the chocolate from the heat and let it cool slightly. Meanwhile, whip the whipping cream and then thoroughly mix it with the chocolate. Pour the resulting glaze evenly over the top of the cake with cream.
  • Finishing: Place the finished slices in the fridge for a while so the chocolate glaze can set. You can then serve the slices either immediately, or let them cool further for a refreshing summer dessert.
