  • Preheat the oven to 180 °C (convection: about 160–170 °C). Prepare a baking pan (e.g., greased and floured or lined with baking paper).
  • Mixing the dry ingredients: In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour with the sugar, baking powder and a pinch of salt.
  • Adding the wet ingredients: Add the grated quark, milk, oil, eggs and vanilla sugar.
  • Mixing: Thoroughly mix all the ingredients until a smooth batter without lumps forms.
  • Baking: Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Put into the preheated oven and bake for about 30–40 minutes, until the cake turns golden and a skewer inserted into the center comes out dry.
