Homemade bread is not only healthier but also tastier than store-bought. Make it easily at home and enjoy its aroma and delicious taste. This recipe is really doable for anyone!

Preparation procedure

  • Dough preparation: Dissolve the yeast in the water and gradually add the sugar, oil, salt and flour. Knead into a smooth dough that should be elastic and not sticky.
  • Proofing: Cover the dough with a clean cloth and let it rise in a warm place for at least 3 hours. During proofing the dough will double in volume.
  • Shaping: After rising, divide the dough into two halves. Place each portion into a loaf pan or shape into loaves and put them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Baking: Preheat the oven to 220 °C. Bake the breads until golden, approximately 40–45 minutes.
  • Finishing: After baking, turn the loaves out of the pan onto a wooden board, cover with a cloth and let cool.

Total preparation time:

  • Dough preparation: 20 minutes
  • Proofing: 3 hours
  • Baking: 45 minutes
  • Total: 4 hours 5 minutes

Servings: 2 loaves
