This recipe offers an easy method for preparing soft honey layers that are joined by a cream and topped with a delicious chocolate glaze. Preparation procedure
- Preparing the dough: In a bowl, mix the egg, sugar, baking soda, butter, milk, honey and cocoa. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly, until it starts to froth. Sift the flour and add it to the mixture, work into a smooth non-sticky dough. Divide the dough into four equal parts, roll them out quickly and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 5-8 minutes. After baking, gently remove the layer from the sheet and let cool.
- Preparing the cream: Using the milk, flour, vanilla sugar and 2 tablespoons of sugar, cook a thick custard. Let it cool. Beat the butter with the powdered sugar until light and fluffy and mix with the cooled custard. Whip until smooth. Divide the cream into three parts and fill the cooled layers with it.
- Finishing: Place the cake in the refrigerator overnight to soften the layers. The next day prepare the chocolate glaze. Melt the dark chocolate with the oil in a water bath and stir until glossy. Pour the chocolate glaze over the honey slices and let it set.
