I got this recipe for excellent langoše from a woman whose stall at the swimming area was always surrounded by people. The advantage of this dough is that you can store it in the refrigerator for a whole week and make langoše whenever you feel like it.

  • Dough preparation: Pour the milk into a bowl, crumble the yeast into it and stir. Add the remaining ingredients (cream, flour and salt) and work into a smooth, non-sticky dough. Place the finished dough into a sealable plastic container or bag so it has enough room to rise. Store the dough in the refrigerator.
  • Frying the langoš: You can start using the dough as early as the next day. Just cut off the required amount. On a lightly oiled work surface, stretch the dough with your hands into the shape of a flatbread. The dough is elastic, supple and easy to work with. Fry the langoš on both sides in sufficiently heated oil until golden brown. Place the finished langoš on a paper towel and blot off the excess fat.
  • Seasoning: Spread the langoš with crushed garlic mixed with a little water or oil. To taste, add ketchup, grated cheese, sour cream or other favorite ingredients.

Tip: If you use sour cream or yogurt and add 1 teaspoon of baking soda, the langoše will be even more tender and easier to digest.
