Preparation procedure
- Preparing the dough: Warm the butter in a bowl and add the egg, sour cream, sugar and a pinch of salt. Mix well. Gradually add the flour mixed with the baking powder and work into a smooth dough. Press the prepared dough onto the bottom and sides of a cake pan.
- Filling: Peel the apples, slice them thinly and put them in a pan with the butter. Add the sugar and simmer over low heat for 7–10 minutes until they soften. Finally, season with cinnamon.
- Preparing the topping: Whisk the eggs with the sour cream in a bowl. Add the sugar, flour and vanilla sugar and mix well until smooth.
- Crumble: Mix the softened butter with the sugar, flour and baking powder until a crumbly mixture forms.
- Assembly and baking: Spread the apple filling over the dough in the pan, pour the prepared topping over it and sprinkle with the crumble. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 50–55 minutes. If the surface of the cake browns too quickly, cover it with foil.
