- Egg preparation: Boil the eggs until hard (approx. 10 minutes), then cool them under cold water, peel and set aside.
- Carrot preparation: Wash the carrots, trim them and grate them on a coarse grater.
- Garlic: Press the garlic and add it to the grated carrots.
- Seasoning: Add salt and pepper to the mixture to taste and mix.
- Dressing: Add mayonnaise, sour cream or plain yogurt to the salad according to your preference. For a lighter version, use yogurt.
- Eggs: Pass the cooked eggs through a potato ricer or chop them finely and add to the salad. Mix well.
- Chilling: Let the salad rest for a while so the flavors can meld. Serve with fresh bread.
