This marinated cabbage recipe from Mrs. Ludmila Muszelová delivers great flavor and is perfect as a side dish to meat or as a treat straight from the jar. Without canning and with a simple marinade, it allows you to enjoy vegetables even out of season.

Preparation procedure
- Brine preparation: Mix the water with the vinegar. Add the salt, mustard seeds, caraway, saccharin and pyrosulfide. Stir well so that everything dissolves.
- Vegetable preparation: Cut the cabbage into fine pieces. Slice the onion into thin slices.
- Marinating: Place the vegetables into a large container. Pour over the prepared brine. Let marinate for 24 hours. During this time stir several times so the cabbage and onion marinate evenly.
- Storage: After marinating, divide the cabbage into jars. Pour over the remaining brine. Store in the cellar. No need to can.
