Preparation procedure

  • Dissolve the yeast in warm milk and add about 6 tablespoons of flour.
  • Mix the dough well and let it rise for about 30 minutes in a warm place.
  • Beat the room-temperature eggs with a pinch of salt and gradually add them to the risen dough.
  • Add the remaining flour and the oil, and, if necessary, lukewarm water; knead the dough so that it doesn't stick to your fingers in the end.
  • Let it rise for another half hour.
  • Grease your work surface with oil, not flour, and shape smaller mounds from the dough.
  • They don't have to have any precise shape; it's enough to place them about 2 to 3 centimeters apart.
  • Cover the baking sheet or work surface with a cloth and let them rise for another 15 minutes.
  • While waiting, you can prepare various fillings — nut, poppy seed, chocolate, vanilla, custard, or plum jam.
  • How you proceed next depends on the chosen method of preparation.
  • You can bake the buns in the oven, or fry them in oil, similar to doughnuts.
  • I baked the buns in the oven at 180 degrees and they baked for approximately 30 minutes.
