The fruit is blended with the peel, so the drink gains an intense flavor – just strain well and chill thoroughly.

Preparation procedure

  • Preparing the fruit Leave the oranges and lemon at room temperature for 30 minutes, wash thoroughly (ideally with a brush) and dry. Cut into smaller pieces including the peel, removing seeds if necessary.
  • Blending Put half the fruit and half the sugar into a blender, blend until smooth and pour into a large container. Process the other half in the same way.
  • Flavoring and resting Pour in 3 l of cold water, add the citric acid and mix well. Cover and let rest in the fridge for 1–2 hours.
  • Straining Strain the lemonade through a fine sieve or cloth. You can rinse the remaining pulp once more with a little water and strain again for a more intense flavor.
  • Serving Pour into a pitcher, add ice and mint to taste. Store in the fridge.

Tip: For a less sweet version reduce the sugar to 1 cup; conversely, for a more pronounced tartness add a little lemon juice.
