Preparation procedure
- Preparing the dough: In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, sugar, and butter. Add the egg and yolk, then add the orange juice and knead until the dough is smooth.
- Finishing the dough: Gradually pour in the white wine. If the dough becomes sticky, add a little flour to make it easier to work with.
- Rolling the dough: Roll the dough out into a thin sheet. The ideal thickness is about 2–3 mm.
- Shaping the cookies: Cut the dough into any shapes you like. We recommend strips 10 cm long and 4 cm wide for the perfect cookie size.
- Frying: Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the cookies until golden, which takes approximately 2–3 minutes per side. Remove the finished cookies and place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Dusting with sugar: Once cooled, dust the cookies with powdered sugar.
